The studio behind the prints
Tomak's is a one-person operation, run out of a small workspace in Bellville. Here's the story, the setup, and how an order actually moves through it.
Started with one printer and a curiosity for making things
Tomak's began as a hobby — printing small fixes and gifts for friends around Bellville. Word spread, the requests got more interesting, and it grew into a proper little service.
Every order is still printed, checked and packed by hand — no factory, no queue of strangers, just one printer running as often as it can.
We like the odd requests best: a part nobody else could match, a gift that had to be exactly right, a shape that only existed in someone's head until we made it real.
Equipment & materials
Two processes, run well, cover almost everything we're asked for.
A few things we care about
Checked by hand
Every file gets a real look before it prints — not just a slicer pass.
Plain answers
If something won't print well, we'll tell you and suggest a fix.
Realistic timelines
Usually 2–4 days. We'd rather say that upfront than rush a print.
Careful packing
Prints leave here wrapped properly, not loose in a bag.
